NYSC through its social media account disbunk the Increases of Service Year by 3 months after the Education Minister has proposed extending the duration of the national service to two years to allow the expansion of the skill training program.

“All prospective Corps Members of Batch A, Stream 1 scheduled to commence Orientation Course on April 23rd, 2025, are hereby informed that the service year has been extended by three (3) months due to recent policy reviews.
Updated call-up numbers/letters and new orientation dates will be communcated shortly.”

How will reasonable person be talking about increase the NYSC year from 1 year to 2 years. When we are already complaining that 1yr of youth corper service is a waste of time. NYSC should be scrapped or replaced with proper skill training. But no the Ediot want it extended.”
